Worship Leader: Jessica Burgan
Jessica is a native Southern Californian, raised in a musical family that loves The Lord. With parents who are professional musicians, music was a natural and essential part of her upbringing with piano studies starting at the age of 5 and finding her love for singing from the time she could talk. She has been writing and recording her own music and music of others in various ventures for over 15 years including original songs and scoring for film, leading music and worship at various churches, singing and performing in bands spanning all over the popular music map. After a jarring vocal cord injury in 2012 Jessica was tested in more ways than one. Struggling to find self-worth and identity outside of her life’s passion forced Jessica to trust in The Lord, lean on his strength rather than her own, and discover the peace that comes with prayer and petition. Jessica is newly married and looking forward to the next adventure of life being a dedicated wife, and someday mother, living a God-centered life filled with music and art.

Lex not only brings a positive message through her music, but also through her writing & speaking. She has written two books, and has been invited to speak at countless Girls', Women's, and Youth events. Discovering God's Will - Grace Johnstone
This session we'll be looking at Discovering God's will for your life. How does one do that? What are some Helps? What are some Hindrances?
Grace Johnstone is a disciple of Jesus. She currently resides in Fullerton, California where she attends Ekko Church. As a Biola alumni she enjoys working at her alma mater, Biola University. She is an avid CrossFit Athlete excited for the 2015 open. God has used her pursuit of physical fitness as the instrument to fine tune and grow her faith. Struggling to gain external beauty, status and attain her destiny through discipline and hard work left her feeling broken and a failure in her own efforts. In hindsight, through these experiences she has been able to recognize, God's grace, calling her to align her heart with His heart. She now encourages others to seek first the Kingdom through "holistic fitness": mind, body and soul care.
Financial Aid for College and Beyond - Rachael Mitchell
Rachael Mitchell is the Financial Aid Scholarship Coordinator at Biola University. She grew up in Cypress, CA and recently "moved out" to live in Whittier to be closer to work and community. Rachael is a member at Grace EV Free Church in La Mirada where she teaches Kindergarteners during Sunday School. She is an alumna from Biola and decided to come back to the bubble to work full-time after two years and six part-time jobs. She finds it the perfect irony that she has a BA in English Literature, and yet works with numbers most of the time now. In addition to helping students as a financial aid counselor and scholarship coordinator, she attends Talbot Theological Seminary pursuing an MA in Bible Exposition. She also teaches flute lessons and can be found swing dancing most weekends. God has been unbelievably faithful to her in every area of life. As a first-generation college student, she had to navigate the financial aid process on her own and she is grateful for the opportunity to share about that process at Reflections of Beauty this year.
